A fertility bracelet is made with gemstones that are believed to encourage and support fertility & pregnancy. When these stones are worn near the pulse points on the wrist, this is believed to further enhance their properties and is why bracelets are more popular than any other kind of fertility jewelry.

A fertility bracelet can act as a talisman, a touchstone for your wishes of conceiving a child. It can be your companion - a constant reminder of your hope and determination for a precious new life as you go through your fertility journey... find your inner strength, hold fast to it, and love and believe that you will conceive.

Hope Sterling Silver Fertility Bracelet

Although I use a mix of stones for each bracelet, the main gemstones that I use include:

• Rose quartz is considered to be the stone of love, fertility and compassion. It is said to promote fertility, guard against miscarriage, and encourage peace and calm.
• Rainbow moonstone which has some blue flash in the right light, is believed to be one of the best crystals for women - it is thought to enhance fertility, regulate your cycle and balance emotions.  
• Green aventurine is thought to be a stone of abundance, healing and is perfect for fertility. It bestows a sense of calm when needed, brings out creativity and gives prosperity a boost.
• Amethyst is said to be a calming and meditative stone. It's thought to promote fertility and prevent miscarriage. It brings inner peace and is good for dispeling grief, especially if you have experienced a baby loss.
• Moss agate is said to promote fertility, assist in new beginnings and in growing everything green. This soothing stone looks like moss is captured right inside it, and no two pieces are alike! It is sometimes called the midwife's stone as it aids during birth as well.
• Petrified wood is very grounding and is helpful in linking with our ancestral past. It is thought to be protective and to help one overcome barriers - perfect for fertility!
• Carnelian carries the orange chakra ray which is associated with the second energetic center in the body - the sacral chakra. It is believed to nourish and vitalize the body, increase sexual energy and to promote fertility.

Lunaception Sterling Silver Fertility Bracelet

Many of my fertility bracelets are made exclusively with either sterling silver (92.5%) or fine silver, which has an even higher silver content - up to 99.5%. I believe that like the crystals, sterling silver adds its own properties to the bracelet, not only enhancing the design but the intensity of the bracelet as well.

Silver is a feminine metal and is said to strengthen the stones it is paired with. It is said to repel negativity and enhance positive energy, especially during the full moon. It is a metal of emotions, has a calming effect when worn, enhances patience and strengthens perseverance. Silver is sacred to women.

However, due to the rising price of sterling silver, I've recently added a new line of fertility bracelets to the shop which are made with Tierracast pewter beads. Made in the US, Tierracast is a company which prides itself for producing gorgeous detailed beads and clasps made from food-grade, lead-free pewter so you know it's safe. These beads are all silver-plated and are beautiful to work with.

Many of my bracelets have a sterling silver charm on them, each with its own special meaning. The charms can also be added to any bracelet for just $6 each:

• Lotus - grows out of mud into a bloom, symbolizing rebirth.
• Cross - is a sacred symbol of redemption and faith for Christians.
• Turtle - a potent symbol due to the number of eggs they lay.
• Goddess - personifies fertility & pregnancy since ancient times.
• Elephant - this Feng Shui symbol bring luck & success in fertility.
